David Farrell (born 29 October 1969) is a former Scottish football player, coach and writer. He now works a taxi driver around Glasgow.

Farrell was appointed first team coach at
In January 2016, Farrell joined St Mirren as assistant manager to Alex Rae, who he previously worked with while at Dundee.[4] Rae and Farrell were sacked by St Mirren after a bad start to the 2016/17 season.
Writing
Farrell began writing a popular blog, Football From The Inside, in August 2014 [5] and it was announced on 6 February 2015 that he had signed a deal with Teckle Books to publish a book about his life in football [6]
