Dias Jirenbayev was born on 3 October 2003 in Taraz, Kazakhstan. His family lives in Astana, Kazakhstan. He started skating at 9 at the Astana Palace of School Children under the guidance of Vladimir Victorovich Rudi (Владимир Викторович Руди), his first coach. During his youth, Jirenbayev trained in the club "Astana Diamond Skates" with Aigul Shavaleyeeva. In 2021, when Denis Ten Academy was founded, Jirenbayev became one of the first students to train there with Sergei Voronov.[2]
Regarding the spelling of "Jirenbayev" in Cyrillic, both "Джиренбаев" and "Жиренбаев" have been used, but the correct spelling is Джиренбаев (Dzhirenbayev).
