Anuruddha was the fourth king of the
Haryanka Dynasty of Magadha in ancient India, reigning from c. 444 BCE to 440 BCE.[1] Much about his life and reign are unknown due to the lack of historical evidence and conflicting accounts. Later sources portray him as a major patron of Buddhism.[2]
He was succeeded by Munda in 440 BCE.
