International Beauty Union (IBU; Arabic: الإتحاد الدولي لملكات الجمال ) is a beauty union that organizes beauty pageants and fashion shows with the aim to ensure that this section is subject to international regulations that countries can rely on as International standards.[1]

History and operations

International Beauty Union was founded in 1999 by Maroun Murad (Lebanese origin), John Chahine (Lebanese origin), Raymon Alwar (Fench origin), and Visiliski Boulmeredo (Greek origin). It is the beauty union that organizes beauty pageants and fashion shows. The IBU was inaugurated to ensure that this section is subject to international regulations that countries can rely on as international standards.[1]

The standards are intended to increase the sector’s professionalism. IBU considers, in addition to the regular beauty criteria, the humanitarian and creative achievements, that add to its importance and contribute to the welfare of the people in need through sponsored events, targeting their support and improvement. [citation required] The IBU has a slogan ‘miss peace international,’ which is a message to everyone that their target is the improvement of societies and their education for a peaceful environment and accordingly a peaceful world for our children and coming generations. The IBU contributed to many events in various countries related to honoring recognized figures, monitoring compliance with best practices, and shedding light on those who deserve recognition. International Beauty Union has very decent relations with some celebrities especially those they have worked with. Most of these figures are from the Arabic Region like the famous singer.[1]

The IBU is currently managed by Alaa Jaber a Chief Operating Officer supported by a well-diversified and multicultural team of professionals. [1]

The IBU was registered under 146010/Greece/Ministry of Development-Trademarks Office-World Intellectual. [citation needed]
