Why do International Technical Communication

When someone tries to communicate with a person with another culture different from theirs, there can be miscommunication or confusion, especially if it’s like someone from Japan that has a very formal culture and interacts with an American, especially one from the south, that has a very causal cultural way of speaking. People try to communicate with the most exotic cultures during cross-cultural exchanges.[1] Political and cultural awareness and knowing how to effectively solve problems in various different ways, as well as working in familiarity with professionals of a given subject or issue makes international cooperation more plausible. Professional communication can be used to include people from all different nations. Professional communication students also grow the participant’s awareness to cultural diversity at large.[2]

How International Technical Communication Could Happen

One effective way to communicate with international people is through the use of storytelling. Different societies around the world have utilized storytelling throughout all of human history, from cave art through paint on rock to digital storytelling with computer programs. Storytelling can be used to work against the image and color of the problem pose of international communication by combining visuals and language[3]

Effects of International Technical Communication

More and more organizations from militaries to businesses rely on globally distributed virtual teams as the economy is now more globalized. As a result more employer trainings are relying on global teams or must address international technology, linguists and cultures. [4] Globalization also changes the way we do technical communication for engineers to adapt with the global market, which is making people be more aware of diverse international cultures, especially in regard to the context of communication.[5] And due to the globalization of the markets, the healthcare industry has relied on mobile medicine, connecting various nations together across the world, providing patients greater access to the healthcare resources. The way healthcare access is expanded globally is by the use of mobile medicine praxis.[6]
