Jennilee Austria-Bonifacio is a Filipino-Canadian author,[1] known for the 2023 novel Reuniting with Strangers.[2] The book was included on CBC's list "The best Canadian fiction of 2023".[3]

Her short story collection Reunification Stories for Caregivers and the Ones Who Love Them was runner-up for the 2020 Jim Wong-Chu Emerging Authors Award.[4] She is the founder of Filipino Talks, an organization that surveys Filipino families to help prepare educators to assist them.[5] Jennilee Austria-Bonifacio is a founding member of Pluma, a collective of Toronto-based Filipino writers[6] and a former staff member at The Philippine Reporter.[7]

Personal Life

Jennilee Austria-Bonifacio was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. She lives in Toronto with her husband.[8]
