Lilith Evans (born Ava Lisbeth Evans; May 18, 2002)[1] is an American singer, songwriter and actress known for her 2022 cover of "Put Your Records On".[2] In 2022, Evans began experimenting with music production and on March 11, 2022, her cover of the Corinne Bailey Rae song "Put Your Records On" was released across all streaming platforms.
Early life
Lilith Evans was born Ava Lisbeth Evans on May 18, 2002 in Manhattan, New York to a single mother working as a civil rights attorney. Raised in the
She went on to sing with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Advanced Choir and won the Maestro Award for Best Solo Performance Accompanied by a Musical Group at the 2017 WorldStrides Heritage Festival.[4] After suffering the loss of her grandmother, Evans then took time to focus on choir, studying monologues and acting techniques, as well as her academic studies. After entering university, Evans began to work as a professional actor in New York City, and produce music in her dorm room.
Career
Following the release of her first cover song in March 2022, Evans worked on her vocal range as a musician and released a second cover song on September 18, 2022 of "In My Life", originally by The Beatles.[5]
As an actress, Evans has performed in numerous student films and short films shot in New York City, including a student production of a scene from High School Musical where she played Sharpay Evans.[6][7]
In April 2023, Evans was in a production of As You Like It: The Musical at The Theatre Lab in Washington, D.C. as an ensemble member, where she played William, a DeBois Dancer, and other roles.[8]
