Sara Wool Moore

Sara Wool Moore was an art professor at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in the late 19th century. [1] The Haydon Art Club was organized by her in 1888 which then created the Nebraska Art Association.

Education

Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, pupil of Rector Eisenmenger. [1]

Career

Teacher of drawing and painting in 1884-1885 at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The art classes were labeled in the agriculture course catalogue. After 1885 there was a School of Fine Arts and Miss Moore is labeled as instructor of drawing and art history. She had 93 pupils the first year it was an official art school.

Studies of plastic anatomy and perspective were added to the list of art classes is 1886-1887 due to Miss. Moore's involvement. [1]
