Tafsir Naeemi is a famous exegesis of the Holy Quran in Urdu consisting of 11 volumes[1] till 11 Parah of the Holy Quran written by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi (died 1391 AH / 1971 AD). It is counted among ashraf at-tafaaseer ("the best exegeses"), and this Ashraf al-Tafaseer (1363 AH) is it historical name too. He started writing it down in 1945[2] till his passing away in 1971 and completed till 11 Parahs in 11 great volumes. One of the reasons for its popularity[3] is that under each Verse, it presents the following 11 discussions, a quality which is not present in other exegeses, in an easy to understand way that all kinds of people[4] from all walks of life can benefit from them:

  1. the text of the Arabic verse
  2. the literal translation
  3. the idiomatic translation
  4. the relationships of verses
  5. the reasons of revelation
  6. the explanation of verse
  7. the summary of the explanation
  8. the lessons
  9. the Islamic laws
  10. the objections and answers
  11. the mystical interpretation

This tafsir is based on Tafsir Ruh al-Bayah (by Allamah Ismail Haqqi), Tafsir Kabir, Tafsir Azizi, Tafsir Madarik (by Imam Nasafi), Tafsir Ibn Arabi (by Allamah Muh ud-Din Arabi), etc.
