The Most Boring Day in History, or the most boring day in the

True Knowledge in late November 2010. It analyzed over 300 million facts and it concluded that nothing notable or great happened on that day. Events included a general election in Belgium.^[1]^[2]^[3]

History

Cambridge computer scientist William Tunstall-Pedoe was an executive at a search engine project called True Knowledge, a database that indexes more than 300 million facts. He found out that with over 300 million facts, he could uniquely calculate an objective answer to the question “What was the most boring day in history?”^[4]

He wrote a script to scan all the days from the beginning of the 20th century to see which day was the least eventful and it concluded that April 11, 1954 was the most boring day in history.^[5]
