Vons WRLD
LeVaun (Von) Williams or professionally known as Vons WRLD is a young African American rapper from Omaha, Nebraska. He speaks a lot about his feelings and try to help his fans not feel alone about insensitive topics and certain subjects that most people relate to but don’t really feel comfortable talking about in their own words. He’s inspired by the late-great Juice WRLD[1] and freestyles most if not all of his songs just like him. His rookie album ‘Love, Pain & Hate[2]' reached more streams than he had imagined which made him start to take bigger steps into his musical arsenal. His most popular song at the moment is ‘Letter 2 Her[3]', a song dedicated to a girl he’s been in love with since he was very young before he even knew what love really was. Which he feels most kids nowadays relate to if they ever felt like they been in love or know they’re in love. Von is only hoping and preparing for the best as far as his life and career goes, but no matter what, he will ALWAYS stick with God through it all. In Vons WRLD's first 3 to 4 months of making music, he's reached over 115K Apple Music streams, about 6K Spotify streams, and about 2.5K streams on YouTube Music. Von records his music in his home on his apple device and mixes them on his own on an app called 'BandLab'. He does this because he one day wants to buy out his own studio so therefore he does not have to ever pay anybody. Von says in an interview that, "I don't like owing people things, especially like money, or a favor-- I kind of been doing everything on my own for as long as I can remember, besides my mom and pops, they helped me with a lot, so hopefully everything works out, I wanna give them the world, on bro." Vons WRLD gained his musical popularity by having a popular agenda at his school and schools in his area. He is very known in his city, and the word got passed on about him, and now, Vons WRLD is worldwide!
Early Life
Von Williams was born on March 19, 2007, in Omaha, Nebraska. Von is the middle child of 9 other siblings, 7 of which, are half-siblings, so the other 2 are full siblings. When Von turned 2 years old, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He does not have much memories from there because when he turned just 4 years old, he moved to Newnan, Georgia. This is where he mostly grew up and received all of his memories at. He's lived in Georgia for 8 years, and when he turned 12 years old, he moved, for the last time, in Brentwood, California. He's lived with his mother for mostly all of his life, with both of his full siblings, and 1 of his half siblings. His full siblings, 1 brother and 1 sister, are both the oldest of all of his siblings. His oldest sister, Lakayla Williams, is 25 years old who has graduated from HBCU Clark Atlanta University. She is also a singer/musician, but, she is not well known. She spends time in a studio when she is not with her kids or teaching at a school. She released a hit single titled, "Away" released in May of 2023. Von's oldest brother, Lafayette Williams IV, also went to HBCU Clark Atlanta University, but did not graduate, to further his music and basketball career. He felt college and the student debt was getting in the way of what he wanted to fulfill his career in. Lafayette, is Von's manager, brother, and AAU basketball coach for Blaze Basketball and Franchise Elite. But, at a young age, Von was inspired to make music and play basketball, but basketball always came first, and still is first for him. Von Williams joined a little basketball rec league at the age of 7 for the first time in Georgia, and he loved it. This is when he knew he wanted to go to the NBA and play basketball. He played rec league every year after that in Georgia. But, when he turned 12 when he moved to California, he tried out for an AAU team the first year he moved there. He made the top premier team for his age and was so proud of himself, but even then, he knew he had to get better. And that's what he did, he learned to get better at basketball and be the best version of himself in the gym 5 days a week for about 2 hours and the other 2 days dedicating them to resting. Von started to become inspired with making music at around 14 years old, by one of his older brother's, Jayden Williams or professionally known as '50G'. He released his first song on YouTube in May of 2018 titled 'True Colors' inspired by 50G, because he spent that summer with him and his father. The song reached 500 views in one day, due to his school popularity and he felt so amazed by it. This made him decide to keep going and do both music and basketball!
