Dupont is a town in Lancaster Township, Jefferson County, Indiana, United States. The population was 339 at the 2010 census.

History

Dupont was founded in 1849.^[4] It was named after the Du Pont family.^[5]

Dupont was one of the towns visited by John Hunt Morgan on his raid.^[6]
