Faces of Death is an upcoming American horror film directed by Daniel Goldhaber and co-written with Isa Mazzei. It serves as a remake of the 1978 film of the same name and stars Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Charli XCX and Jermaine Fowler.
Premise
A woman who moderates a YouTube-like platform, responsible for filtering out any content that is offensive or violent, comes across a group on the website that appears to be re-enacting the murders from the original film. However, given the digital age of widespread misinformation online, are these murders real or fake?[2]

Production
The rights to the 1978 horror film
In April and May 2023, Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Charli XCX and Jermaine Fowler were announced as the lead cast.[3][4][5] On a production budget of $7.4 million (before tax incentives),[6] principal photography began in New Orleans on April 10, 2023, under the working title Home Movies, and wrapped on May 12.[7][3][8] Pick-up shots were done in early 2024.[9]
