English: Decided to drop in at my local spot to see if i could get some Barn Owl action after work as the light was nice..
The owl hunted the banks about 100 metres from me, where i was shooting into the light at the time and eventually after 30 mins worked its way to me and flew past the back of the Auto hide and landed on a post no more than 10 meters away i couldn't believe it!!! Now it had full sun on it (hardly cropped at all). Took 6 shots and he was off. Heart has only just calmed down. It pays to stay in the van. I have been to this spot for a few weeks now waiting to catch him so the waiting game paid off. Wish i didnt have the 1.4x convertor on now to give a bit more breathing space. |
