Description

A view of the Haasgat (Rabbit Hole) fossil site, Gaunteng Province, South Africa. The Haasgat Lime-mine was created when speleothem was mined from an ancient cave deposit (palaeocave) during the early part of the 20th Century. These palaeocave sediments have been the source for numerous extinct primate fossils and other species of animal.
