Summary

Description	English: Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of the Naval Staff inaugurated the first edition of Indian Navy - Bangladesh Navy Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) on 27 June 2018, which is being instituted as an annual feature between the navies of both countries. The Admiral is on a goodwill visit to Bangladesh, aimed at consolidating bilateral defence relations between India and Bangladesh and to explore new avenues for naval cooperation. Admiral Sunil Lanba interacted with Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf, Commander Chittagong Naval Area and Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haq, Commodore Commanding BN Flotilla. He also visited BN ship Abu Bakar post inauguration of CORPAT.
