Summary

Description The Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force destroyers Teruzuki (DD-162) and Yūgure (DD-184) at Apra harbor, Guam (USA), circa 1962. Yūgure was commissioned in 1944 as USS Richard P. Leary (DD-664). Teruzuki was one of two Akizuki-class destroyer leaders. This class was equipped with U.S. electonics and armament, especially note the 127 mm/54 caliber Mark 16 gun which was used on the Midway-class aircraft carriers.
