Description

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1966, on Southern Island Cruise 11 and Northern Grid Survey 27. Materials include: bird observation sheets, fix data sheets, and climatological data sheets. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., remarks, and loc. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, etc.). Fix data sheets include date, time and position data, distance data, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Climatological data includes time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed
