. The recording has historic value because it demonstrates the first known use of a foot pedal on a steel guitar to change a pitch of notes while playing the instrument. Up to this time, the pedal was used only to play in a different key, and pushed only once to select the key. This is a low-resolution clip of less than 30 seconds from a much longer recording.
