Description
English: This ad promotes "Sunlight Soap" by Lever Brothers Ltd. with the claim: "The CLEANEST fighter in the World - the British Tommy." The drawing depicts three soldiers in a Great War trench, one firing his gun, one with a head injury, and one bathing. The Sunlight Soap boxes are placed prominently in the foreground. The ad appeared on page ii of the Dec. 30, 1915 issue of the english war magazine "The War Budget".
Deutsch: Diese englische Werbung für "Sunlight Soap" wirbt mit einer Zeichnung eines 1.-Weltkriegs-Schützengrabens, voll mit Sunlight-Seife und dem Spruch: "Der sauberste Kämpfer der Welt ist der Britische Tommy." Von den drei Soldaten in dem Schützengraben sind zwei verwundet, einer schießt nach draußen. Die Anzeige erschien promiment auf Seite 2 der Ausgabe vom 30. Dezember 1915 des englischen Kriegsmagazins "The War Budget".
