Summary

Description
English: The Wairakei geothermal power plant, Region of Waikato, New Zealand. In the left rear are the two main blocks of the power plant. The large raised structure in front houses the fans and piping whereby the working fluid of the binary plant is cooled and condensed with air, rather than river water. The binary plant uses water/steam that has become too cool for the main generation use, but with modern technology can still create power at a lesser rate.
