Beginnings

Members formed as a school band in 1982.[4]

Career

They performed at the

Bunaban, the traditional language of the Kimberley region.[5]

Fitzroy Xpress continues to operate independently, under its own management.

Awards

At the

Deadly Award for Album Release of the Year for Home Sweet Home, beating Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan for the award.[4][6][7]

Documentary

Fitzroy Xpress were the subjects of the 2005 documentary Home Sweet Home[8] and an episode of SBS's Blaktrax.[9]
