Frédéric Descrozaille (French pronunciation: [fʁedeʁik dekʁozaj]; born 16 April 1967) is a French politician who has been serving as a member of the National Assembly since 18 June 2017, representing the department of Val-de-Marne.^[1] He is a member of Renaissance (RE).

Political career

In parliament, Descrozaille has been serving on the Committee on Economic Affairs. From 2017 to 2019, he was also a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (2017–2019).^[2] Since 2021, he has been the parliament’s rapporteur on climate risks for agriculture.^[3]

In 2023, Descrozaille announced his candidacy to succeed Aurore Bergé as leader of the Renaissance parliamentary group but and ultimately lost an internal vote against Sylvain Maillard, with 20 against 80 percent.^[4]

Descrozaille sponsored a law to ban shops from offering discounts of more than 34%. The law, which is blamed for fuelling inflation, takes effect from March 2024.^[5]
