Freddie Lee Scott (born August 5, 1952) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver from 1974 through 1983 in the National Football League (NFL). In 2001, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Scott was a starter replacing the injured
Baltimore Colts in 1977. He was traded along with a fourth-round draft selection (107th overall) which eventually became Homer Elias from the Colts to the Detroit Lions for Herb Orvis on May 1, 1978.[1][2]
His son
Penn State University, and in the NFL from 1996 through 1998 for the Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts
. Another son, Brandon Scott, played for Bowling Green State University.
