Geeta Koda is an
Member of Parliament from Singhbhum Lok Sabha constituency. Earlier she was associated with Jai Bharat Samanta Party.[1] On 26 February 2024 she left Indian National Congress and joined BJP on the same day.[2]
Political career
Koda is a member of the
scheduled tribe. She is married to Madhu Koda
, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
In February 2017, Koda was appointed a member of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Steering Committee (India Region) by Sumitra Mahajan, Speaker of the Lok Sabha.[3]
