Broke was born in 1946, son of

OBE MC, and was educated at Eton College and Sandhurst. He served in the Royal Artillery

Gentlemen at Arms
since 22 February 1997 and retired as its Lieutenant.

He was appointed

Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in the 2016 Birthday Honours.[2]

In 1978 he married Patricia T Shann.[3] They have one son.

His family seat is Holme Hale, Norfolk.
