Georgia Department of Public Health
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is the state-level public health agency for the U.S. state of Georgia. Its purpose is to prevent diseases, promote health, and prepare for disasters. The department is organized into divisions, sections, programs, and offices.independent state agency in 2011.
The agency has responsibilities across a variety of health areas, such as epidemiology, emergency services, immunizations, and environmental health.[1]
