Release
Following its world premiere at the
Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, the film subsequently screened at the Singapore International Film Festival and also at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Netherlands in January 2023.[3][4]
Critical reception
In a review for 8 Days, Tay Yek Keak rated the film 3 out of 5 stars. Tay praised Mark Lee's portrayal as the "beleaguered but good-hearted" pimp Fatty, but felt the film was too over-the-top.[5]
