Gregg N. Sofer is an American lawyer who served as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas from 2020 to 2021.[1] Sofer assumed office on October 10, 2020, after the resignation of John Bash.
Education
Sofer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.[2]
Career
He began his career at the
Assistant United States Attorney in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas in the Austin branch.[3][4][5]
Prior to returning to the Western District of Texas, Sofer had been serving as counselor to Attorney General William Barr.[6][7]
