Gwilliam Iwan Jones

Gwilym Iwan Jones (3 May 1904 – 25 January 1995) was a

District Officer, led to an interest in ethnology and a second career as an academic at the University of Cambridge.[1]

Life

Jones was born in

Fellowship of Jesus College, Cambridge. He was a noted scholar on African issues, returning on various occasions to Nigeria for research. He retired in 1971, but continued to write and remained active within Jesus College.[2]
