Hilihang has an area of 123 square kilometres (47 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is
22913 as of the Census of Nepal 2011.[1][2][3]
Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development merged all old VDCs and Municipalities into 753 new local level bodies.[1][3]
The rural municipality is divided into seven wards. Its headquarters is in Panchami.[1][3]
