Critical reception
The song received favorable reviews from several music critics.
The Ithacan deemed it a "torrid ballad".[6] A reviewer from Music Week rated it four out of five, calling it "a smoochie ballad which should do well for Christmas", adding, "Expect a hit."[7] Ian Fortnam from NME felt it has potential "to become a enormo-hit".[8]
