Jason Nono Mayélé (4 January 1976 – 2 March 2002) was a Congolese professional footballer who played as a forward.
Career
Mayélé played as a
African Cup of Nations. Previously he had played for Cagliari in Italy and LB Châteauroux in France.[1]
Death
Mayélé died in a car accident at the age of 26. His car collided with another while he was attempting to catch the Chievo team bus for a match against
Parma. He was taken to hospital in Verona by helicopter, but he died of injuries sustained.[2]
Since his death, his
retired in his honour by Chievo.[3]
