Career
Brixtofte's professional career began in 1975, when he and his group MKT won Ekstra Bladet's record opportunity with the song "Come Along To Barbados". The prize was a Recording contract. During the 1970s, the group released several English-language songs, with their final song, "Op og ståwas", becoming a summer hit in 1980. The band, MKT, re-emerged as
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1982[2]
In 1998, a compilation album titled "Come Along To Barbados" was released and contained songs from both Brixx and MKT. It was published under the name Brixtofte.[3]
In 1982 Brixtofte decided to end his music career and further his education. He earned a Master of Science in Merchandising. He ran for the regional election in 2017 for the Social Democrats, but was not elected.
