John O. Almquist
John Olson Almquist (February 10, 1921 - September 6, 2015)doctoral degree from Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences.
Early life
Almquist was born in
Alden High School in 1937 and then received a bachelor's degree from Cornell University, as well as a master's degree from Purdue University.[2]
Career
Almquist studied at
Penn state at 1944, later establishing the Dairy Breeding Research Center in 1949, which is a faculty served to research on artificial insemination. His research later led to a receipt of the Wolf Prize in 1981, for "early work on the addition of antibiotics to bull semen."[3] Almquist retired in 1982.[4]
Death
Almquist died on September 6, 2015.[5]
