John Taylor was a
Seventeenth Congress
in 1820. His death date is unknown.
He married Mary Margaret Smith, the daughter of South Carolina Senator
William Smith. Their daughter, Mary Margaret Smith Taylor, married journalist and planter Meredith Calhoun.[1]
