Jon T. Pitts

Jon T. Pitts (born 1948) is an American

variational calculus. He is a professor at Texas A&M University

Frederick Almgren, Jr., with the thesis Every Compact Three-Dimensional Manifold Contains Two-Dimensional Minimal Submanifolds.[1]
