Jonathan Michie
Early life
Michie is the son of the biologist Dame Anne McLaren and computer scientist Donald Michie,[1] and brother of the academic psychologist Susan Michie.[2]
Academic career
Michie studied at
In 2004, he became a professor of management at the University of Birmingham where he was director of the Birmingham Business School and a member of the University Council.[3] He was also a non-executive director of the Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.[citation needed]
In December 2007, he was appointed to the joint positions of Director of Oxford University Department for Continuing Education and President of Kellogg College, Oxford.[4] He stood down as director of the department in 2021.[5]
Michie authored a report which called for Northern Rock to be remutualised.
