Jonathan Ondreal Mingo (born April 20, 2001) is an American football wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ole Miss.

Early years

Mingo grew up in Brandon, Mississippi, and attended Brandon High School.[1] Mingo was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at Ole Miss over offers from Georgia, Auburn, and Mississippi State.[2]

College career

Mingo started all 12 of Ole Miss's games as a freshman and finished the season with 12 receptions for 172 yards and one touchdown.[3] He caught 27 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns during his sophomore season.[4] Mingo missed seven games due to a foot injury in his junior season and finished the year with 22 receptions for 346 yards with three touchdowns.[5][6] In 2022, Mingo started all 13 games, tying for the team lead with five receiving touchdowns (51-861-16.9). He set a Ole Miss record for most receiving yards in a game with 247 against Vanderbilt.[7][8]

Mingo was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the 39th overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.[11] He entered the season as a starting wide receiver alongside veteran Adam Thielen. He finished his rookie season with 43 catches for 418 yards and no touchdowns through 15 games and 14 starts.
