Early life and high school

Simmons was born in

San Diego, California where he attended high school at Helix. Simmons was rated as a four star recruit, and committed to play college football at San Diego State University.[2][3]

College career

San Diego State

In Simmons first career season in 2022, he started all 13 games for the Aztecs, appearing on 799 snaps.[4][5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Simmons decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal to continue out the rest of his college career elsewhere.[6]

Ohio State

Simmons transferred to the Ohio State University.[7][8] Simmons entered the 2023 season as the Buckeyes starting left tackle after beating out Tegra Tshabola for the job.[9][10]
