Justin Downey (born 11 November 1986) is a South African rugby union footballer for Japanese Top East League side Tokyo Gas. His regular playing position is flanker.
Career
Downey started his career at the
Perth, but failed to make an appearance.[1]
Lack of game time saw him move to the Griquas in 2010, where he spent the next three years and made close to fifty appearances. During this spell, he also represented the Cheetahs during the 2012 Super Rugby season.
Downey returned to the Sharks prior to the 2013 Currie Cup Premier Division.[2]
In 2014, Downey signed a contract with
Suntory Sungoliath.[3]
