  • Ballakesh (Bride): 1515 M.R. - Moris MacComas (MacCowis), 1643 M.R. - Ballakewish, 1777 Diocesan Register - Ballakesh; "Kewish or MacCowis farm."
  • Ballakewish (Braddan): 1703 M.R. - Ballakewish (Ir. MacThamhais); "Kewish farm."
