Kii-Nakanoshima Station (紀伊中ノ島駅, Kii-Nakanoshima-eki) is a passenger
railway station in located in the city of Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company
(JR West).

History
Kii-Nakanoshima Station opened on January 1, 1932 as Nakanoshima Station (中ノ島駅) on the Hanwa Electric Railway, and was renamed Hanwa-Nakanoshima Station (阪和中之島駅) 15 days later on January 13, 1932. The
Japan National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan Railway Company. In March 2018, station numbering was introduced with Kii-Nakanoshima being assigned station number JR-R53.[2][3]
Passenger statistics
In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 462 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[4]
