College career
Smith played
left guard[4] and was voted 2019 All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Honorable Mention.[5] In 2020, Smith started all 11 games as left guard[6] and was again voted to All-ACC Honorable Mention.[7] In 2021, Smith returned for his fifth year.[8]

Arizona Cardinals
Smith was drafted by the
2022 NFL Draft.[12]
On August 29, 2023, Smith was released by the Cardinals as part of final roster cuts before the start of the 2023 season.[13]
Houston Texans
On November 1, 2023, Smith was signed to the practice squad of the Houston Texans, but was released six days later.[14][15]
Philadelphia Eagles
On November 14, 2023, Smith was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad.[16] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 18, 2024.[17]
