The town was named for Captain Little, who kept a store there.[4]
Geography
Littleville is located in southern Colbert County at 34°35′27″N 87°40′32″W / 34.59083°N 87.67556°W (34.590933, -87.675599).[5] a small portion of the town extends into Franklin County to the south.

The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 2.89.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 23.7% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 26.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
