History

Louisburg was platted in 1887.[5] A post office was established at Louisburg in 1888, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1992.[6]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.30 square miles (0.78 km2), all land.[7]
