In 1875, the population of Lyndon was 805.
The North Lyndon Schoolhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[3]
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 33.3 square miles (86.2 km2), of which 33.2 square miles (86.1 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.11%, is water.[4]
The eastern town line is the border of Allegany County.

There were 250 households, of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% were non-families. 18.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 2.98.
Age distribution was 27.7% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 110.6 males.
