Mambrui is a settlement in

Malindi-Garissa Road, south of Gongoni and north of Malindi
.

Mambrui also boasts of 14th century architecture with over five buildings built in the 14th century though in dilapidated condition TrendingLeo. The village also is home to 11 mosques despite having approximately 200 households.

Mambrui is the site of a project by a team of Kenyan and Chinese archaeologists, who are looking for evidence of contact with the Chinese during the era of the

Vasco Da Gama, most likely during the expeditions of Zheng He.[1]
