Marek Olędzki (born 25 April 1951) is a Polish archaeologist who is Head of the Department of Prehistory at the University of Łódź.[1]
Biography
Marek Olędzki was born in
Ph.D. at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 1999 under the supervision of Jerzy Stanisław Kmieciński. His dissertation was on the Przeworsk culture.[1]
Upon gaining his Ph.D., Olędzki became employed at the University of Łódź, where he completed his habilitation in 2009. Olędzki was subsequently appointed a Professor at the University of Łódź. Since October 2017, Olędzki has been Head of the Department of Prehistory at the University of Łódź.[1]
Olędzki primarily researches the
barbarians, particularly their military relationship. He is the author of more than 120 publications on these subjects.[1]
