Max Dennison is a digital matte painter and illustrator.

In 2003, while supervising the matte painting department at
Weta Digital on Lord of the Rings, Dennison was also nominated for the award of "Best Matte Painting in a Motion Picture" by the Visual Effects Society for his work on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.[3]

In 2007, he set up a company which produces VFX for the film industry, Matte Painting UK, which is based in Shepperton Studios.[citation needed]
